Azure Solutions Architect

Job description

From a local team of five in 2018, to an international team of 244, spread across the Netherlands, Poland, Australia, Dubai, Singapore, the US, and Canada, ChannelEngine has grown quickly, and we’re not stopping there.

We’re on a mission to become the number 1 marketplace integrator in the world. We’re not just growing in terms of people. Our platform is scaling too, which is why we are looking for more skilled hands to join us in the beautiful city of Leiden as part of the multicultural tech team of 60 bright minds, who build, grow and maintain the ChannelEngine platform.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lending your expertise to our migration from on-premise to Azure cloud; taking charge of how the infrastructure is set up,

  • Assisting with the development and coordination of cloud architecture across areas such as application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security,

  • Working on cloud application designs, cloud approval plans, and systems required to manage cloud storage,

  • Configuring cloud services, networks and internal (monitoring) tools,

  • Building and managing secure, compliant and intuitive tooling that improves the stability, scalability, availability and latency of the ChannelEngine platform worldwide,

  • Helping make our product even more scalable by automating the testing, release and deployment of applications,

  • Advising ChannelEngine on best cloud practices and approaches.

Job requirements

What you’ll need

  • A bachelor’s (HBO) degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field,

  • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure; hosting, monitoring, and network infrastructure of a global platform/product with large data sets,

  • Hands-on experience working with Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and ARM,

  • Ability to use common scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash, or Python, for automation,

  • Any of the following certifications would be a plus: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Azure Administrator (AZ-103 or AZ-104), DevOps Solutions (AZ-400)

  • Some familiarity with .NET would be beneficial but not essential,

  • Good communication skills in English.

What can we offer you?

  • A varied role where you are able to contribute to solving the multitude of interesting technical challenges that arise when a company builds its own product,

  • The stability of a grown-up company alongside the craziness of a tech scale-up,

  • A personal development plan for you to grow within your role at our company,

  • An environment where you are encouraged to share your great ideas, come up with solutions, and take the reins in making things happen,

  • Work-life balance - we like to enable people to work in ways that suit them best, which is why we have a hybrid-working model and flexible hours,

  • The opportunity to work from our modern office next to Leiden Central Station, with views across the city, ergonomic workstations, all the healthy (and slightly less healthy) snacks you could eat, and exceptionally good coffee to keep you well fuelled throughout the day,

  • Numerous wellbeing initiatives organised by our Happy & Healthy Team, including movie nights, bootcamps, and cooking classes!

  • A great pension plan and competitive salary.
