Azure Solutions Architect

Job description

At ChannelEngine, we specialise in providing e-commerce solutions for online retailers. Our innovative platform enables businesses to connect their online stores with online marketplaces around the world, and manage their sales operations from a single dashboard. By automating and streamlining the selling process, we help businesses scale their operations and increase their online revenue.

As part of our mission to become the number 1 marketplace integrator in the world, we are moving from on-premise to the cloud and are looking for an Azure Solutions Architect to take the reins of this migration, including the high-level planning and the hands-on implementation. We offer hybrid working (once per week at the office is enough), a diverse and vibrant team to work with, and plenty of interesting projects to sink your teeth into.

What you’ll be doing

  • Guiding our migration from on-premise to Azure cloud; from designing to deploying, and ongoing management,

  • Developing and coordinating architecture that can be scaled across different geographical regions, ensuring compliance,

  • Configuring the necessary security controls, identity and access management, network and data management, and internal (monitoring) tools,

  • Building and managing secure, compliant and intuitive tooling that improves the stability, scalability, availability and latency of the ChannelEngine platform worldwide,

  • Helping make our product even more scalable by automating the testing, release and deployment of applications,

  • Optimising the cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness, including ongoing monitoring and fine-tuning,

  • Advising ChannelEngine on best cloud practices and approaches.

Job requirements

What you’ll need

  • A bachelor’s (HBO) degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field,

  • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure; hosting, monitoring, and networking of a global platform/product with large data sets,

  • Hands-on experience working with Azure DevOps, Terraform, GitOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and ARM,

  • Ability to use common scripting languages such as Powershell, Bash, or Python, for automation,

  • Any of the following certifications would be a plus: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Azure Administrator (AZ-103 or AZ-104), DevOps Solutions (AZ-400)

  • Some familiarity with .NET would be beneficial but not essential,

  • Good communication skills in English,

  • Currently resident in the Netherlands.

Why you’ll love working at ChannelEngine

You’ll have:

  • A varied role where you are able to contribute to solving the multitude of interesting technical challenges that arise when a company builds its own product,

  • The stability of a grown-up company alongside the craziness of a tech scale-up,

  • Plenty of ownership and autonomy to do your work in the best way possible,

  • +/-75 bright colleagues in our Product & Tech department to bounce ideas off and share knowledge with,

  • Work-life balance - we like to enable people to work in ways that suit them best, which is why we have a hybrid-working model and flexible hours,

  • Numerous wellbeing initiatives organised by our Happy & Healthy Team, including movie nights, bootcamps, and cooking classes!

  • A good pension plan and Stock Appreciation Rights.
