At ChannelEngine, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on Team Lead for our engineering department, who will not only oversee a team of capable engineers, but also contribute to the development of our international e-commerce SaaS solution.
What you’ll be doing
Organising and managing a team of +/- 5 backend software developers,
Coaching the engineers in your team, and carrying out performance and salary reviews,
Leading scrum team meetings,
Developing and maintaining the high quality systems that form the ChannelEngine ecosystem, focusing on high impact components, processes and architectural decision making,
Designing and writing code to ensure optimal efficiency, maintainability, functionality and user experience,
Creating and maintaining coding quality guidelines and standards,
Working closely with the Head of Technology and the Product Owners to ensure alignment between the roadmap and the work being carried out,
Proactively following recent developments in e-commerce, software architecture, development methodologies, and SaaS, and providing input on how we can apply this knowledge at ChannelEngine,
Contributing to recognising future business needs and planning for how architecture will support/enable it.

What you’ll need
In addition to a winning personality and exceptional interpersonal skills, you will need:
A bachelor’s (HBO or WO) degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field,
6+ years’ programming experience using C# and .NET,
2+ years’ experience in managing, reviewing and coaching a software development team of 5+ FTE,
Experience working in an agile environment and leading a scrum team based in the Netherlands,
A solid understanding of relational databases and SQL, and experience working with large data sets,
Experience in designing large features, code migrations and/or other high impact changes,
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal,
A positive attitude and a pragmatic approach to problem solving,
Availability to work 40 hours per week,
Currently resident in the Netherlands.
Nice to have
Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure,
Experience in designing and implementing application architecture,
Familiarity with e-commerce systems,
Awareness of recent developments in the .NET stack (.NET 6).
