ChannelEngine is looking for an enthusiastic Data Analyst to work alongside our business and technical teams to create business value through data. We’re working on some cool projects and need more talented people in the team to make our company goals a reality. We’re building a data platform, migrating to Azure, and working on some interesting machine learning models. You’ll be involved in all of this, as well as the day to day of helping convert all the useful e-commerce data we have in our platform into digestible business intelligence to provide our stakeholders with the right insights to aid their decision-making.
What else will you be doing?
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to understand key metrics, examine business and technical requirements, and develop reporting / data applications,
Using business insight and technical knowledge to define, develop and deliver analytics solutions to stakeholders,
Developing and maintaining ETL / ELT pipelines and data components to extend and optimise the ChannelEngine data platform,
Developing rich, intuitive automated dashboards,
Developing ad-hoc reports and providing analytics services to support business decision-making processes,
Searching and applying tools and/or methodologies to foster data analytics best practices,
Documenting relevant code, business requirements and technical processes,
Providing support to the development of training materials and training activities related to the BI tools and applications,
Debugging issues, discrepancies and finding root causes.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree in Maths, Data Science, or a similar field,
4+ years’ experience as a developer or analyst within a data team,
2+ years’ experience working with SQL databases and writing SQL queries,
Experience in dashboard development using PowerBI, Tableau, Looker or a similar tool,
Ability to script in Python, or a similar language,
Ability to understand and analyse business processes and requirements,
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal,
Active listening skills, a proactive approach, and a willingness to learn new things,
Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform would be a plus,
Currently residing in the Netherlands.
