We are looking for a Back-end Engineer to join our marketplace integrations team. This team is responsible for building integrations between ChannelEngine and the various marketplaces and sales channels around the world, so you will have a direct hand in connecting our customers to new marketplaces and allowing us to continue on our journey to becoming the number 1 marketplace integrator in the world. 🎉

What will you do as a Back-end Engineer?

Key focus areas in this role include creating REST APIs for integrations with third parties i.e. marketplaces and sales channels, and planning and delivering solutions, which can be deployed with minimal changes. You’ll contribute to the quality, security, and performance of assigned tasks. Next to this, you’ll help to develop useful, high impact features for the ChannelEngine platform.🚀

Collaboration is key as you’ll improve your own skills, and those of your colleagues, through continuous self-development, knowledge-sharing, and peer code reviews.🌟 As a Back-end Engineer, you’ll identify technical areas for improvement in the ChannelEngine platform, creating POCs and taking ownership of implementing your innovative ideas.

Job requirements

What makes you the ideal Back-end Engineer?

  • A bachelor’s (HBO or WO) degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field,

  • 5+ years’ programming experience using C# and .NET,

  • A good understanding of relational databases and SQL; experience with large data sets would be beneficial,

  • Good knowledge of collection types and LINQ, as well as object oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns,

  • Experience with web services (REST, SOAP),

  • An appreciation for TDD and creating unit tests,

  • Ability to write clean, well-structured code that is testable and well-documented,

  • Experience in e-commerce or marketplaces,

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal,

  • Flexibility, creativity, and a can-do attitude,

  • Currently resident in the Netherlands or Singapore.

Nice to have (but not essential)

  • Experience working in support.
