Development Team Lead

Job description

We are looking for an experienced, people-oriented Team Lead to work with our channels team, a diverse scrum team of +/- 8 backend software engineers, who are responsible for  integrating new marketplaces and sales channels to the ChannelEngine platform. This team ensures marketplaces go live efficiently with robust integrations that scale well 🚀

What will you do as Team Lead?

As Team Lead, you will encourage the team and foster their creativity. Your goal is to create a collaborative team environment characterised by open communication where each member feels valued and motivated ⭐ Coaching your team, not only in terms of technical skills, but also soft skills and career progression, is an important part of the role. 

We have a great product team who you will  work closely with to ensure alignment between the roadmap and the work being carried out by the channels team. You will organise and manage the team following agile principles, helping them navigate complex projects and technical challenges. You will also have the freedom to contribute your own ideas on high impact features, processes and architectural matters relating to the ChannelEngine platform. 

Job requirements

What makes you the ideal Team Lead?

A friendly personality and great interpersonal skills are a good start. You will also need:

  • A bachelor’s (HBO or WO) degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field,

  • 3+ years’ experience in leading and coaching a multicultural software development team in the Netherlands,

  • Affinity with working in an agile environment and following scrum principles,

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal,

  • A positive attitude and proactive approach to coding and team management,

  • Currently resident in the Netherlands.

Nice to have (but not essential)

  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, SaaS or a tech scale-up,

  • Hands-on coding experience using our tech stack (C#, .NET, and SQL databases).
