Financial Accountant

Job description

ChannelEngine has a great opportunity for a Financial Accountant! In this role, you will oversee all financial and business aspects of the whole company to ensure compliant, timely, and accurate accounting and (consolidation of) reporting. You will work directly with the Group Controller in designing and implementing processes and procedures with regard to accounting, tax, and compliance. What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll be dealing with a diverse range of expense accounting activities (eg. Invoices booking/payment/GL etc)

  • Responsible for T&E reimbursement process and main Finance contact for T&E related platform

  • Executions of Opex GL bookings/reconciliation and outcomes of all accounting and (Internal/external) financial reporting activities.

  • Taking lead of Expense controlling and cash planning,

  • Assisting in quarterly VAT and annual income tax filing across the regions

  • Setting up, maintaining, and optimising AP related financial flow processes,

  • Initiating internal control procedures and ensuring their implementation,

  • Supporting annual group audit and other local filing requests across regions (such as sales tax/VAT filing etc)

Job requirements

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or controlling; CPA certificate is a plus

  • Preferably 5+ years of relevant working experience in similar positions within international environments,

  • Good knowledge of financial administration (invoice booking/AP/AR etc.) and overall financial processes,

  • Proficient in MS Excel is a MUST

  • We are just getting started, a proactive and hands-on approach is needed

  • Experience in working with ERP systems. Experience in Cloud-based accounting ERP (eg. Netsuite, exact-online) is a plus,

  • Good written and verbal skills in English, preferably also Dutch.
