Product Marketing Manager

Your challenges

ChannelEngine is scaling rapidly and under the lead of our new VP of Marketing and Growth, we are on our way towards global growth. To realize our ambitions, we are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead, develop and implement our product marketing strategy.

As Product Marketing Manager you have the valuable task to educate internal and external company stakeholders on the features and benefits of our platform. You communicate the value of our platform through content, face-to-face meetings or join in on (prospect/customer) presentations, all to reach new markets and educate our employees, partners & customers!

In this role, you know our platform, its features and benefits in-depth. You translate technical content into compelling yet easy to understand business language. You maintain and manage competitive intelligence and comparisons by working with cross-functional stakeholders and executing self-lead research. Develop, implement, and support promotional activities such as webinars and product launches. Use market research data to help determine optimal platform positioning. Gain insight into customer use of our platform, marketplaces and untapped opportunities and buyer personas. Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to platform feature adoption and usage.

Your daily activities:

  • Develop product marketing strategies (pricing, advertising, product launching) and value propositions
  • Develop the strategy that drives demand for the platform in the market.
  • Take charge of market intelligence and research global industry trends such as e-commerce, consumer purchase trends, etc. to help formulate strategies and demonstrate market insights to that attract and support customers and enhance communications
  • Evaluate projects using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers
  • Lead content marketing efforts and the development of product content such as value propositions, case studies, videos, as well as copywriting for various marketing tools and collaterals from website copy to blog posts.
  • Lead and deliver sales and partner enablement programs.
  • Create content for every step in the sales funnel; from whitepapers to email and presentations
  • Responsible for platform launch; plans the launch and oversees the cross-functional implementation of the launch plan.
  • Develop compelling product messaging and positioning that distinguishes our platform and sets it apart in the market.
  • Test marketing product features and releases
  • Assess the platform market data by reaching out to customers through field salespersons and evaluating sales call results.
  • Determine product market share through collaboration with sales leads
  • Endeavor to understand the market through competitive analysis; becoming an expert in the product’s category, finding the product’s competitive edge, and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders in a straightforward manner.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of product by analyzing platform performance and consumer demands/needs.
  • Ensure that all content is delivered in a timely manner and that they are always in line with the brand guidelines, tone of voice, company guidelines, quality standards, and objectives.

Job requirements

Who are you?

You’ll also bring:

  • Theoretical knowledge through a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing
  • 10+ years relevant experience in product marketing, pre-sales (e.g., corporate, external, internal) at a B2B company, preferably in retail / e-commerce and ideally in a tech start-/scale up
  • Proven track record of effective management
  • Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager, or similar role – you know how to develop sound product marketing strategies and value propositions
  • Experience in extensive market research and analysis
  • Experience in sales enablement
  • Digital marketing experience is a plus
  • Superior content development skills with story-telling abilities that inspire and engage
  • Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns)
  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends)
  • Good data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • You are energetic, resourceful, detail-oriented and driven, and have the ownership to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly scaling environment
