Product Owner (customer journey)

Job description

At ChannelEngine we are looking for an experienced Product Owner to help us take our marketplace integration platform to the next level. We’re blazing the trail in e-commerce and scaling our SaaS solution quickly, so we need someone who can take charge of our user experience and frontend team, become an expert in its inner workings and keep developing and delivering features that our customers will love.

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking ownership of our frontend capability, including vision, ideation, development, growth and maintenance,

  • Conducting user research and analysis to gain a deep understanding of the needs and wants of our clients, potential pain points and areas for improvement,

  • Defining customer journeys and focusing on user experience best practices,

  • Working with the Senior UX Designer to provide the development team with guidance and direction on UX / UI standards, using human-centred design practices,

  • Defining and maintaining the product roadmap in alignment with business stakeholders and other teams,

  • Working collaboratively with the development and product teams to identify and manage technical debt in a sustainable manner whilst delivering against agreed OKRs,

  • Determining the priority and focus of the team and breaking down abstract goals into smaller, deliverables that are easily understood by the team,

  • Acting as the Agile coach within the team to further enhance the adoption of scrum methodologies, and participating in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement sessions to prepare epics and stories,

  • Creating and maintaining the backlog,

  • Ensuring release standards are met for items delivered within the sprint,

  • Fostering an environment in which the teams you work with can excel, helping them discover opportunities, surmount challenges and build a highly resilient and scalable platform.

Job requirements

What you’ll need

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Product Owner, working in an agile environment,

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience focusing on User Experience, and a good understanding of common UX methods and practices,

  • Proven experience in e-commerce or retail,

  • Experience with web applications: Angular or React frameworks,

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to reason, negotiate and build consensus,

  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and in an organised manner, while still paying attention to detail,

  • Currently resident in the Netherlands.
