Project Manager

Job description

We are looking for two important aspects in this role: firstly someone who is a master in project management and secondly, also someone who truly understands the need for pragmatism in a rapidly growing and innovative scale-up like ours. You will create and implement a plan to turn the current state map into the future state map using lean techniques and acting on the gaps.

You will be responsible for the success of our customer implementations, meeting timelines and within the budget requirements. As well as using data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimization efforts by reducing waste and inefficiencies, but must coordinate efforts across all teams within global operations.

You will also be responsible for the detailed work associated with managing client implementation of our software. This includes but is not limited to project planning, regular reporting, owning meetings and communication, following-up on tasks, identifying risks, and keeping resources and efforts of software implementation projects focused on the priorities, timeline, and budget. Sounds as a real Project Manager, right?


What you'll be doing

You coordinate and prioritize project tasks, manage timelines, maintain project plans and communicate status to clients, project sponsors and senior management. You engage, encourage & mobilize participation of the customer stakeholders of various departments of the required changes before and as the plan is implemented.

You will be driving change and improvement in operational performance, ensuring internal alignment for more efficiency and better execution. Your role would be to drive changes on both the process and technical side as well as support the operation teams in behavioral changes.


  • Manage all project documentation including project plan, communication plan, risk log, and project reports. Maintain operations documentation keeping it up to date and accurate.

  • Ensure the success of the Project, as defined by the project scope, budget, timeline and manage the project budget including project funding, forecast, and worked project hours

  • Ensure timely resolution of client and internal issues and communicates resolved issues to clients and internal teams.

  • Build effective relationships and communications with client by obtaining client feedback. When needed reinforces colleagues roles, responsibilities, and expectations on a project.

  • May assist with presale activities including meetings and conference calls to determine needs analysis and project scope.

  • Measures, tracks, and evaluates progress against the project plan, deliverables, milestones and required tasks.

  • Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources

  • Prepares project status reports and analytics to keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues.

  • Identifies, resolves, and documents client-side issues and impacts to the project.

  • Execute projects to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness of the track, with a focus on automation and scalability

  • Work closely with the VP Operations & Learning to ensure Operations viewpoint is considered while making new tooling decisions, technical requirements for new systems, features or integrations or while creating handover processes

  • Help teams to relate their processes towards the individual, team, and company objectives and key results, and optimize them accordingly, helping us to keep everyone pointed in the right direction

  • In this role, you will work together intensively with the Global Operations teams such as Global Support Team, Global Delivery team, Global Customer Success team and Global Learning team while executing on Process Improvement strategy, as well as communicating with stakeholders.

Job requirements

What you'll need

  • Demonstrated track record (3+ years) of defining and executing process improvement initiatives leading them from start to finish;

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with preference to software implementation and operational related projects;

  • You are an expert in Lean Six Sigma (Black belt trained);

  • Experience with leading, motivating and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources;

  • You have a strong focus on business impact and actionable recommendations;

  • Very high problem solving and structuring skills, with the ability to simplify complex areas;

  • Proactive and positive attitude;

  • A master in change management;

  • Excellent communicator (on several levels) and ability to work with, influence and align with multiple stakeholders, also external (enterprise level) clients,

  • Advanced user of G-Suite required and experience with BI tools such as PowerBI;

  • Flexible and capable to find the right balance between structured problem analysis and project management and agility to deal with a fast-pacing change environment;

  • Based in the Netherlands;

  • Excellent presentation skills.
