Job description

We're looking for a German speaking Business Development Representative to join our team in Leiden or Berlin! 🎉

You'll be joining a team of BDRs who are at the heart of ChannelEngine's growth - building pipeline from scratch through calls, emails, social media, and in-person events, and setting up demos with our Account Executives. It's a role where you'll see the direct impact of your work pretty quickly.

If you're fluent in German and genuinely excited about building a career in sales, we'd love to hear from you. We care more about your attitude and willingness to learn than your exact background - if you're driven, coachable, and good with people, we'll make sure you get the training and support to grow.

What makes you the ideal candidate?

  • Fluent in both German and English, spoken and written,

  • Genuinely motivated to build a career in sales - your background matters less than your drive and your coachability,

  • Experience in a customer-facing role - whether that's sales, retail, hospitality, or support - and comfortable engaging and persuading people,

  • A growth mindset: you actively seek feedback, take it on board, and show up each week better than the last,

  • Demonstrate resilience and persistence when handling rejection and working towards a “yes”,

  • Live in - or close to - Leiden (Netherlands) or Berlin (Germany).

Job requirements

Why you’ll love working here:

  • A structured onboarding and ramp-up program with real hands-on coaching

  • We offer a professional, yet informal work environment, where it’s easy for you to try new things, share your ideas, and make an impact

  • A team that genuinely invests in your development, with regular 1-on-1s, feedback, and a clear path to grow into a closing role 🎯

  • We offer an annual on-target bonus, paid in monthly installments 💰

  • 🌈 Our Diversity & Inclusion Committee ensures ChannelEngine remains an inclusive and diverse workplace, where we embrace our differences, share a common sense of belonging and everyone feels free to be themselves ⚧️

  • We want to make sure everyone is supported mentally and emotionally which is why we provide free access to mental healthcare support

You’ve applied. What’s next?

We want all of our candidates to enjoy a smooth and efficient experience with us which is why we aim to get back to you regarding your application within 2 business days. The first step is a screening call with a member of the recruitment team. This is followed by a meeting with our Sales Team Lead. After that, we have an email assessment, and an interview with your future Account Executive. The final step is a meeting with our Director of Sales. Our interview process tends to take +/-3 weeks to complete 💙
