Job description

We’re looking for a German speaking Business Development Representative to join our team in Leiden or Berlin! 🎉

You’ll be joining a team of BDRs who are responsible for outbound outreach strategy: developing sales qualified opportunities from scratch, through calls, emails and social media, and close by scheduling online demos with ChannelEngine’s Account Executives.

This role is ideal for someone with fluent German language skills, who is keen to start a Sales career straight out of university, or for someone who has experience in a sales-related role that wants to join a fast-growing SaaS environment!

What will you do in this role?

  • Help fuel ChannelEngine’s growth in the DACH region by driving high-volume outbound sales activity

  • Build pipeline from scratch through prospecting, cold calling, emailing, and LinkedIn outreach

  • Research and uncover new opportunities using smart lists, online research, campaigns, and events

  • Run energetic discovery calls to understand a prospect’s challenges and create interest

  • Confidently pitch ChannelEngine to decision-makers using a consultative, value-led approach via phone, video, and events

  • Learn fast and become fluent in e-commerce, marketplaces, and SaaS through hands-on selling

  • Keep momentum high by tracking activity, experiments, and results in the CRM

  • Thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment where taking initiative, testing new approaches, and improving every week is encouraged

  • Fluent in both German and English, spoken and written

  • Show strong motivation to build a career in sales within SaaS and e-commerce

  • Bring a growth mindset with a drive to learn, improve, and try new approaches

  • Demonstrate resilience and persistence when handling rejection and working towards a “yes”

  • Live in - or close to - Leiden (Netherlands) or Berlin (Germany)
